Extremúsika 2024: Lineup, tickets and how to get there

Extremúsika is a music festival held annually in Cáceres, Extremadura (Spain).  The first edition took place in 1998, but it was not until 2004 when it began to be held annually (although not uninterruptedly). There was a break between 2009 and 2014 due to organisational problems. Despite these circumstances, the festival has grown over the years, attracting more people from other parts of Spain and internationally. Nowadays it is considered one of the biggest music festivals in the country.

The festival was created to promote Extremadura as an international tourist destination, to promote regional culture and to bring different types of music from all over the world to the region. Extremúsika 2024 lasts 3 days and features a wide range of musical genres, including rock, metal, hip-hop and jazz.

Where is Extremúsika 2024 held?

The 2024 festival will take place (as in previous editions) at the Cáceres equestrian centre, which is located on the Ctra Mérida Badajoz, 4 km from the city centre. It has a capacity of 10,000 attendees.

On the other hand, it also has a camping area very close to the stages, with the capacity to hold up to 2,000 people.

When will this festival take place?

Extremúsika 2024 will be held on 26, 27 and 28 September (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The festival site opens its doors at 12:00 noon.
